Snacks

snack schedule

LAST UPDATED: September 1, 2020

Wonder members are encouraged to get to know one another and develop friendships because we believe it makes for a better ensemble. For this reason, we have a short break with a small snack during our weekly classes. It’s not just to give their fingers a rest or refuel their energy but to encourage relationship building.

We ask all families to volunteer and contribute healthy snacks to one fall rehearsal and one spring rehearsal every season per student. Healthy snacks can help boost a child’s mental and physical skills, so we encourage parents to avoid snacks with high levels of added sugar.

  • Snacks should be ready to eat (washed, cut, and prepared) prior to rehearsal breaks.
  • Choose simple snacks easy enough to eat within the 15-minute break.
  • Healthy snacks can include but are not limited to, fresh fruits and vegetables, dried fruit, fruit cups, applesauce, string cheese, gluten-free granola bars, gluten-free crackers, yogurt, and pudding.
  • Please label snacks with common allergies, intolerances, and/or restrictions. The most common are foods containing milk, eggs, wheat, gluten, fish, pork, meat, tree nuts, peanuts, soybeans, and corn.
  • Students with allergies are advised to bring a backup snack.
  • Please do not bring popcorn or beverages for snacks.
  • Students can bring tight-lid bottled waters for rehearsal.

Please prepare for about

15 people in BLOCK 1 (4:30-6:00pm) and

15 people in BLOCK 2 (6:30pm-8:30pm)

Thank you for your snack contributions!
